In Vitro Assays

We perform in vitro assays using established laboratory pipelines and protocols, delivering the specific endpoints defined for each method.

SEE OUR CATALOG

Our services include:

  • Computational analysis and presentation of results in both tabular and figure formats
  • Quality control overviews and processing of raw data into an R-based framework for visualization
  • Storage of raw quantitative data (e.g., imaging or sequencing data) for up to one year post-assay

Genetic and Target Discovery Assays

Tailored services to identify antiparasitic targets

Our offerings include:

  • Support structure-activity relationship studies
  • Procurement or generation of transgenic C. elegans strains for comparative phenotypic screening
  • Forward genetic screens to uncover mutations affecting drug responses
  • Preparation of tissues for drug target engagement assays
  • Other customized solutions to meet your research needs

Caenorhabditis elegans

L1

We will collect imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. Synchronized L1 stage worms will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture worm development and/or motility.

Dirofilaria immitis (canine heartworm)

Microfilariae

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. Microfilariae stage parasites will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture worm motility and cell and tissue viability across multiple timepoints.

L3 and L4

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. L3 and L4 stage parasites will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture worm motility, molting, and cell and tissue viability across multiple timepoints.

Brugia malayi (zoonotic lymphatic filariasis)

Microfilariae

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. Microfilariae stage parasites will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture worm motility and cell and tissue viability across multiple timepoints.

L3 and L4

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. L3 and L4 stage parasites will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture worm motility, molting, and cell and tissue viability across multiple timepoints.

Adults

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. Adult female and male parasites extracted from a jird model of infection will be plated into 24-well plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture worm movement (males and females) and fecundity (females).

Brugia pahangi (cat/dog lymphatic filariasis)

Haemonchus contortus (barber's pole worm)

Eggs

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. Eggs collected from sheep stool samples will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture hatching, motility, and/or development across multiple timepoints.

Larvae

Collection of imaging data using plate formats and time points defined by the customer. Larvae hatched from eggs collected from sheep stool samples will be plated into microtiter plates and responses to drugs will be imaged to capture motility and/or development across multiple timepoints.
