Dr. Elyssa Campbell, co-founder and CEO of Animal Diagnostics and Research Solutions, Inc. (ADR Solutions), is a Research Faculty member in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Georgia (UGA) College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Campbell also serves as PI and Director of the NIH-funded Filariasis Research Reagent Resource Center (FR3), which supplies filarial reagents to researchers in North America and other global regions. She earned her PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences from UGA, where her research focused on the complex interactions between hosts and parasites. Specifically, her work explores the mechanisms that enable the establishment of Dirofilaria immitis (canine heartworm), Brugia spp. (lymphatic filariasis), and Ancylostoma caninum (canine hookworm). Campbell's commitment to the field is further demonstrated by her active involvement in the American Heartworm Society and her past service on the Executive Committee of the American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists.
Dr. Leonor Sicalo, co-founder and CSO of Animal Diagnostics and Research Solutions, Inc. (ADR Solutions), is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Georgia. A veterinarian by training, she earned her DVM from the University of the Republic (UdelaR) in Uruguay, followed by a residency in animal health at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she trained in clinical parasitology for cattle, sheep, and horses. She later earned her PhD in Infectious Diseases from the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on understanding the dynamics of anthelmintic resistance in gastrointestinal nematodes of livestock, integrating genomic and phenotypic approaches to inform sustainable parasite control strategies. This work bridges fundamental research with field application and has been carried out in collaboration with industry, academic, and government partners.
Dr. Mostafa Zamanian, co-founder and CTO of Animal Diagnostics and Research Solutions, Inc. (ADR Solutions), is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His academic research program aims to identify new targets and strategies for the treatment of human neglected tropical diseases and related animal diseases, with a particular focus on helminth control. This work is closely linked to advancing fundamental understanding of the complex molecular interactions that occur between parasites and their vertebrate hosts and vectors. His research is supported by federal funding agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), and he collaborates extensively with non-profit organizations and industry partners. Dr. Zamanian earned his PhD in Neuroscience and completed postdoctoral training at McGill University and Northwestern University.
